This is the great preserved of the five synagogues which existed in the Jewish Quarter of Segovia. This is because of its conversion right into a Catholic church in 1410, following the activities of Corpus Christi, to whom the brand new religion of the temple become committed. The form of the synagogue was square, divided into 3 naves, separated via horseshoe arches and octagonal pillars completed with massive capitals with vegetal decoration. Upon each lateral nave turned into an arcade with horseshoe arches interspersed with pent lobular arches whose internal curves are decorated with palm leaves. The first facts of the temple date back to 14th Century but the shape is thought to be from the 13th Century. It presently belongs to the Sisters of the Order of St. Clare, who oversee its opening to the public.

We making the most of our visit to the quiet Segovian Juderia. We visited the previous synagogue which is currently a congregation, the Didactic Center and went for an intriguing stroll over to the Jewish burial ground. From here, there are all encompassing perspectives on Segovia. On the off chance that you are keen on pre-ejection Jewish history, don't miss it. Buy Assignment Online
